DEC. 2019 • Partnership2Gether • Ruth performed and worked with students at Akko Conservatory and Matte Asher in Western Galilee region of Israel in December of 2019 as part of the Partnership2Gether program sponsored by the Jewish Federation.  Omaha is a sister-city with Akko.  Ruth was violist with the Partnership Quartet, which performed 4 concerts during their residency in Israel.

SAT. JAN 19 at 9:30AM • Parent Education Session with Ruth Meints • Learning and Practicing Effectively • What happens in the brain when we learn a new skill? In this session, learn how to improve your student’s learning processes and get strategies for creating a more efficient practice session. We’ll also go over practice methods for retention and consistency.

SAT. JAN 19 AT 10:30AM  Violin/Viola Studio Class – Practice Tools and Methods – Bring your instrument and learn some great practice methods to enhance your practice session and learn your repertoire thoroughly and rapidly!

SAT. MAR 2 AT 9:30AM Parent Education Session with Ruth Meints: Motivation – This session will be loaded with ideas for any parent who has ever had trouble getting their child to practice regularly! Learn about: The different motivational styles How to capitalize on your child’s unique motivators to enhance practice The process of growth that moves a student from extrinsic to intrinsic motivation

FRI. MAR 15 AT 7:30PM – An Evening with Paul Barnes – This is an opening concert for Opera Omaha’s One Festival. I will join Paul for an extremely cool piece called Pendulum by Philip Glass.
